High-tech domestic drugs: the commission is already sitting
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation optimistically reports:
High-tech medicines will now be produced in Russia as well
Reason for optimism:
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia hosted the first meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the development of the production of genetically engineered drugs and other high-tech medicines.
Denis Manturov, the head of the working group, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, outlined the main purpose of the work – to consider the possibility of import substitution, first of all, for priority groups of medicines needed to provide the population. He noted that at the same time there should be a clear understanding of the real needs of the population and health care institutions for appropriate medicines. To do this, the group includes representatives of the Ministry of Health and Social Development, Roszdravnadzor, the Ministry of Economic Development and the leadership of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. Representatives of the relevant medical community are also invited to participate in the meeting.
The first meeting was devoted to the organization of insulin production. About the possibility of organizing the production of genetically engineered insulin on the basis of the Pushchinsky Scientific Center (Moscow region) Viktor Nikulin, General Director of JSC "Bioran", told.
Diana Mikhailova, Director of the Department of Pharmaceutical Market and Medical Equipment Market, spoke about the prospects of using innovative thrombolytics for the treatment of stroke, as well as about the development of the production of orphan medicines.
At the same time, we must clearly understand the real need of the population and health care institutions for appropriate medicines.
The Interdepartmental Working Group on the Development of the Production of genetically engineered drugs and Other High-tech medicines was established in accordance with Order No. 30 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation dated January 30
Pursuant to the Minutes of the meeting with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation V.B. Khristenko dated October 8, 2008 No. 27-XB/13 on the development of proposals related to the implementation of state policy in the field of development of production of genetically engineered drugs in the territory of the Russian Federation, :
1. To create an interdepartmental working group on the development of production of genetically engineered drugs in the territory of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Working Group).
2. Approve the attached Regulations on the Working Group and its composition.
3. To the head of the Working Group, D.V. Manturov, quarterly submit to the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation a report on the results of the work of the Working Group.
4. I reserve control over the execution of this order.
