Import substitution from Siberian biotechnologists

In Russia, dumplings with pearl barley and millet were presented

Dumplings with barley and millet began to be produced in Altai (in fact, they did not start – see the last paragraph, and, hopefully, they will not start – VM). The first batch was presented at the festival of developments of the Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Chemistry and Ecology.

The festival is held within the framework of the section "Industrial and Food Biotechnology in the 21st century" of the International Biotechnology Symposium "Bio-Asia – 2015".

"The technology and recipe of the presented products was created by students and scientists of Altai State University," FlashSiberia was told at the university.

For example, sea buckthorn was used for cheese, millet and pearl barley porridge turned out to be in the filling of dumplings. Dessert lovers were offered ice cream with sunflower.

So far, only visitors of the food forum have been able to try them. At the moment, these developments have not been put into mass production.
