In France, the police figured out the criminal on the biological trail. The attacker left it on the cheek of the victim, kissing her. This is reported by BFMTV (Paris: un braqueur trahi par une bise sur la joue de sa victime).
According to the case file, in April last year in Paris, two robbers broke into the house of a female jeweler. They tied her up and threatened to set her on fire if she didn't tell them the alarm codes in her store.
The prisoner obeyed and told them what was required. After that, one of the criminals went to the store for loot, and the second remained to guard the hostess. Some time later, the first robber called his partner and said that he could leave, since the theft was a success. Leaving the victim's apartment, the attacker kissed her on the cheek.
The biological trace left by him turned out to be a good help for criminologists. The DNA samples obtained later helped to identify the robber, who was detained in the south of the country on suspicion of committing another crime. During the interrogation in the case of the robbery, the attacker said that he wanted to calm the victim with a kiss and soften the psychological trauma inflicted on her.
