Three, six, code
Two nucleotides are connected by a strong covalent bond, and with the third and the amino acid – by weak physico-chemical bonds. To strengthen this connection, we need another three – complementary. It will turn out to be a six, which will be supported by hydrogen bonds between complementary nucleotides.
