International Conference "High Technologies – Strategy of the XXI century"
On April 21-24, 2009, the tenth anniversary international forum "High Technologies of the XXI Century" will be held in Moscow. The forum will be held in the Central Exhibition Complex "Expocentre", the pavilion "Forum".
The Forum will host an international conference "High Technologies – strategy of the XXI century", focused on solving practical problems in the context of the global economic crisis. The events that will take place within the framework of the conference are conceptually linked by a common idea of creating a problem-oriented, interdisciplinary knowledge base on high technologies and innovations, uniting an interested scientific and expert community around it. The International Conference of the Forum includes a Plenary session of the Forum, breakout sessions, round tables and scientific and practical seminars. The International Conference will be organized in such a way as to promote the expansion of inter-sectoral and interregional cooperation. The conference program provides for discussion of scientific and technological problems at the intersection of various disciplines and directions (nanotechnology, biotechnology, artificial intelligence). By the beginning of the 10th Anniversary Forum, a Collection of materials of the International conference of the Forum will be published, as well as an Anniversary consolidated scientific and technical collection of the best conference reports based on the materials of international conferences held within the framework of the Forum in the period 2000-2008.
On April 23, Wednesday, at 14.00-17.30, the central exhibition complex "Expocentre", in the Marble Hall of the Congress Center, will host a lecture session "Nanotechnology and new materials". The co–chair of the sectional meeting is Vladimir Vladimirovich Klyuev, Director General of the Research Institute of MNPO "Spectrum", Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

We invite you to participate in this breakout session and invite potential speakers to submit abstracts for publication in the Conference proceedings, a template file for which is attached to this message. Abstracts that have passed the initial review can be published in the collection for free even if the speakers were unable to participate in the forum itself.
The text of the reports for publication in the "Collection of Conference materials" is sent to the Russian Foundation for the Development of High Technologies, which selects the reports and forms the Conference program. The main advantages for choosing the participants of the breakout session among students, postgraduates and young scientists are: a brief justification for the need to participate in the section, the availability of publications on relevant topics, successful participation in the Internet Olympiad "Nanotechnology - a breakthrough into the Future" (optional).
