Innovative way of development: the voice of the people

Recently, the innovative way of Russia's development has been increasingly discussed at the highest level. Recruitment Portal Research Center Superjob.ru I decided to ask the Russians how they understand the meaning of this phrase.
According to 27% of our fellow citizens, such a path primarily implies "the introduction of the latest technologies into the economy, the renewal of production facilities, the development of the Internet and nanotechnology," "the latest technologies and management systems, a new organization of production and labor."
9% of Russians believe that the innovative way of development is to support young scientists, finance science and new developments: "You need to invest in brains, and not let them go abroad"; "This is when they invest in science, technology and education." Almost the same number of survey participants (8%) claim that this is "a look at familiar things from a different angle", "a different path of development from the previous one."
"The introduction of modern management methods" is considered the main sign of the country's transition to a new path of development by 6% of Russians. Another 5% are sure that this is primarily "getting rid of the "dependence on raw materials" and the "oil needle", the development and development of their own high technologies that will ensure the status of Russia as an advanced power, and not a raw material appendage."
4% of respondents named the fight against bureaucracy and corruption as a priority direction of the country's new development strategy. According to 3% of Russians, innovations should be understood as modernization of production and agriculture, borrowing successful foreign experience, as well as investments in improving the quality of domestic education.
2% of Russians are sure that the innovative way is "development in which people will think more about people", as well as "creating a real competitive environment for business". The same number of respondents (2%) believe that Russia's transition to a qualitatively new level of development will be possible only if there are changes in the consciousness of its inhabitants: "For our country, the biggest innovation is a change in the consciousness of the population"; "Getting rid of the old mentality"; "A complete and radical change in the psychology of people!"
13% of respondents called the talk about a new way of development empty words: "A beautiful slogan"; "Another populist campaign".
In Russia, an innovative way of development is impossible – 4% of the study participants are convinced of this.
The same number of Russians (4%) are inclined to think that the new way is a "scam of the century", "under which more than one billion budget money will be written off."
Otherwise, 13% of our fellow citizens decipher the phrase "the path of innovative development" for themselves. In their opinion, these are "the development of democratic institutions in the country, the modernization of the election law, the reform of law enforcement agencies, judicial reform", "changes in tax legislation", "professional army, affordable housing, salary according to abilities", "social programs", "attracting investments".
23% of the study participants found it difficult to answer the question posed: "The main thing is that those who are talking about it now know it"; "Anything can be hidden behind this formulation"; "This is only known to them. Romantics!"
