Biopharmaceutical cluster in Koltsovo
Novosibirsk authorities will apply
to create a biopharmaceutical cluster
Recall that at the beginning of 2011, the regional authorities adopted a long-term target program for the creation of a biotechnopark in Koltsovo in 2011-2015. It will focus on the commercialization of research and development results of the State Scientific Center for Virology and Biotechnology (SSC WB) "Vector", local innovative firms and companies, institutes of the SB RAS.
Currently, eight projects have been selected for implementation within the framework of the future cluster, which were presented by the World Health Center "Vector", the Novosibirsk Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, CJSC "Vector-Medica", the Institute of Chromatography "EcoNova" and others. The starting products will be thrombolytics developed by Siberian scientists (drugs capable of dissolving blood clots), as well as biologically active additives to therapeutic nutrition. The technological core of the cluster should be an experimental and production biotechnological center for collective use in bacterial and viral areas.
