Norilsk engineer Maxim Lyashko received a federal grant of two million rubles to finalize and launch the production of budget bionic prostheses.

For the first time we talked about Maxim in July of this year. At that time, Maxim and his Max Bionic team had working prototypes of a bionic prosthesis at their disposal and were preparing for summer clinical trials. The creation of prototypes became possible thanks to 3D printing, which provided the necessary functionality at relatively low prototyping costs. At the same time, the developers hope to launch mass production of customized budget prostheses, and this will require serious expenses.

The team is actively looking for investors and accepts voluntary donations. The other day, the budget of Max Bionic was replenished with two million rubles allocated by the Innovation Assistance Fund within the framework of the Start program. In combination with additive technologies, the developers hope to reduce the cost of ready-made prostheses to about $ 1,000, as well as to develop a version of an artificial bionic arm for children aged 7-14 years. In children's prosthetics, the production flexibility of digital technologies plays a special role, since prostheses have to be constantly changed as the child grows.

"I already have more than fifty potential customers, among whom there are children. The support of the Foundation will help to make a significant step in the implementation of the project, which means to help them and many other people. I am grateful to the specialists of the regional business incubator who noticed me at the "Smart Guy" contest and continued to work with me, even though I was not a resident of KRITBI. They advised this program and helped to prepare the application, send it. It's not so easy to do it from Norilsk," says Maxim Lyashko.

The Start program is aimed at inventors and researchers who are ready to implement innovative ideas. The program supports startups engaged in information technology, medicine, the development of new materials, the creation of hardware complexes and research in the field of biotechnology. The Krasnoyarsk Regional Innovation and Technology Business Incubator (KGAU "KRITBI") is engaged in the formation of a plan to support local entrepreneurs.
